ALERT - For the attention of our Diabetic patient’s taking GLP 1 Medication
Including: Ozempic, Rybelsus, Trulicity, Victoza, Saxenda, Byetta, and Bydureon.
It is with disappointment and frustration that we are contacting you to inform you that currently there are manufacturing and supply problems of your GLP 1 diabetic medication. The supply to the pharmacies has been very sporadic as these medications are in very high demand at the current time.
Unfortunately, as the shortage affects the whole group of this medication type there is no equivocal medication we can change to at the present time. We hope this situation will change and ask you to keep in regular contact with your pharmacy as to whether they are available for supply.
If you have problems obtaining your prescription for these medications, we ask you to arrange a further Hba1c diabetic blood test in 3 months so we can monitor your diabetes more closely.
Again, this is an extremely frustrating situation for us all and we hope that there will be a stable supply soon.

There are many types of diabetes. The main two types are type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes and they are two totally different conditions. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition whereas type 2 diabetes can be considered an intolerance to sugar, or insulin resistance.
